Age: Approximately 500 - 200 million years ago (Ordovician - Triassic)

History:

Originating in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, these extinct nautiloid cephalopods lived from 500 to 200 million years ago (Ordovician to Triassic Periods). These aquatic creatures were efficient hunters and so abundant that the fossils found in a single site often number in the thousands. As the most intelligent aquatic species of its time, it should not shock that it’s descendants still swim the oceans today as cuttlefish, squid, and octopus.

Perfect for wire-wrapping, or just run a cord through the drilled pieces to make your own necklace.
